So Long Vienna
Written by Vita Drakonia

Checked out of Vienna hotel today and left the bags with them. Had some
breakfast and decided to go see another museum before leaving Vienna. I
was interested in unusual art and there was a special exhibition of H.
R. Giger (the guy who designed the aliens for Alien film,
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.R._Giger) on display! So we went and
after me getting lost in small awkward Vienna streets we made it to
Kunst Haus museum…

VitalKunstHausVienna.JPG

Once we made it there finally we got to see both Giger and
Hundertwasser (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hundertwasser) work, the
latter being an old Austrian hippie philosopher who did some amazing
abstract painting and sculpting. Both exhibitions were extremely
enjoyable and truly to my taste!

We were tired from all walking and lack of sleep last night and still
had to buy train tickets to Prague for tonight, so we walked back to
the hotel and I got to hop online over some beers in local pub and
write this, as well as do a few outstanding UO deliveries.

So we are getting on a train in few hours and heading to new country.
Czech Republic is a place I always wanted to visit. When I was a kid I
got to try some Czech bubble gum and it was the best thing in the
world. It also had little cute comic strips inside. So as soon as I get
there I am on definitely a mission to find it. More updates coming soon!

Hobo Europe Special - 100 Mil -> $99.99
Written by Vita Drakonia

It is some holiday here in Vienna and almost everything is closed. So
it was pretty uneventful day. We walked around a lot and although I
swore not to take any fruitier picture of myself, I could not resist
the temptation. Vita is so damn famous in Austria!

VitalLadyVienna.JPG

Austrians are odd. They do not know how to walk fast and do not move
when you try to walk past them. There are no rules for which side of
street they stick to, unlike in New York where we understand the lack
of walking space and a result have developed walking rules to avoid
bumping into one another. So I find it hard to maneuver around the
streets here. I knock locals over. I miss New York City, but there is
still more of Europe to see. Remarkable and unexpected things like this
ridiculous sign for example...

PissoirVienna.jpg

My funds are running short and everything is too damn costly here, so I
figured if I could learn how to sleep on the bench like the bum I
posted about earlier then I could just do that for free. Its easy life
for me… So I practiced and even had my hand in my pants to protect
myself in case of a hostile attack. After all, the worst thing that can
happen while resting on a public bench is someone sneaking up and
kicking you in the nuts :/

VitalHomelessVienna.JPG

I think it is time to leave Austria and I need to raise some cash for
train tickets and accommodations in the next city of choice, which is
Prague. And to do that, I am going to offer a limited 5 day special on
gold. Order 50 Million on this site for $99.99 and get 50 Million more
as free bonus! That’s 100 Million Gold on any shard for just $99.99!

This special will be over end of the week on Sunday at midnight. So
take advantage of it before Monday and know that by doing so you will
not only get gold at lowest rates around, but also keep me alive, well
fed and safe on my journey, thus in the end making it possible for me
to continue offering such great UO deals to all of you in the future ;)

Offline In Vienna

Vienna is a great city and I really love it here! I got no complaints
about much really, but I am very desperate for an internet connection
that will not drop me after a few minutes. So I apologize for not being
online all day Sunday, but I simply could not locate any place to stay
online. I was suffering from net withdrawals and tried to get a signal
on the street corners…

VitalPcStreetVienna.JPG

On my holy search for internet hot spot I randomly found a cool looking
street with steps running down into another street. We decided to take
that strange route ;)

HillStreetVienna.JPG

Here I did not find any internet, but I did find some remains of
someone who may have been drinking in sorrow from not being able to
find any place to plug in their computer. Is that underwear under the power supply? I am glad I was not the only one with PC issues, and this did give me a good idea of what to do next. Since I can’t get internet I shall instead solve my issues by doing what my predecessor did before me. I shall drink till I forget what I was looking for and then I will not need to look for it anymore!

BeerAndWiresVienna.JPG

So we sat on these chair chained to a side of a café and drank much
strange Austrian beer. I got plastered and posed in front of pink shop
window. My girlfriend took this picture. Yes, I was sloshed ;)

VitalBoozer1Vienna.JPG

We extended our stay here in Vienna for a few more days and moved into
new hotel that does have internet. I am happy now and will be online
tonight. I kinda look possessed in this picture... I shall see you all soon!

Museum Day!
Written by Vita Drakonia
Saturday, 12 August 2006 20:56
This day I did make it inside a museum and even got to spend some time
there. Up until today I thought New York, my home city has the largest
museum of natural history. That was incorrect, since one in Vienna is
inconceivably larger. Here is a peek at the breathtaking grand main
museum hall…

MuseumNatHistVienna.JPG

Amount of species displayed inside this humongous building is enough to
spend a good week in here and not get bored, if you are into seeing
different creatures and learning about their origins and other such
stuff. I wanted to know more about birdies and even decided I was one
for a brief moment ;)

BirdiesMuseumVienna.jpg

VitalSpearedVienna.JPG

This hunter was hungry and wanted to kill me with his spear, but I ran
out of museum and ate something myself instead. Then I bumped into a
random park, I think it was called StadPark, or something close. It was
doggy friendly and I thought of Muffin mutt and how much I missed him.
The view over canal was wonderful!

StadPark1Vienna.JPG

As we walked down the street we saw random stuff lying on the ground in
piles and people picking it up and digging through everything. I got
confused and asked what was going on. Turns out it was a free market on
Saturday. People just giving away stuff they didn’t want. I wish I was
here sooner, could have gotten some free souvenirs. I hope to do more
Vienna sightseeing tomorrow and report about it here, but now its
sleepy time!

Vita got bored of beer. Proceeded to next best thing on drink menu ->
english apple cider. Strongbow be whooping my butt, but amazingly
enough I am delivering UO pixels and stuff and keeping mah peeps happy!

Booze is funny thing. There is something alcoholics refer to as "drinkers
clarity". A moment of enlihghtment that comes after have a few waaaaay too many cold ones. I think I just had my very own personal moment of enlightment. Ready? Ok! So here it is...

StrongBowCiderVienna.jpg

Next cool thing to come to UO is pirates! We getting a cannon for
veteran rewards. And we know how EA works. Reuse reduce recycle is the
motto. So the ship cannon is now a vet reward. Whoo hooo! Ahoy matey! I
am a pink human pirate and I gonna shoot my cannon at ya and stuff...

Strange Day

Original plan was to be all cultural and visit museums and see all
those things I can learn something from. So we went to Museum Quarters,
an area that as one would expect to have that stuff. This is what this
part of Vienna looks like right from outside of metro station we
arrived at! And it looks like Mickey D rented a spot here too...

MuseumQuartierVienna.JPG

We were hungry and figured we will explore a bit and get something to
eat, and then do all the exciting museum stuff. And so we went on a
mission for food that seemed somewhat familiar to my taste. A few dozen
sausages eateries later we found ourselves walking down a very
interesting street. There were shops and stuff to look at everywhere. I
even found a homemade candy store and started drooling intensely. I
ended up with much delicious chocolate candy in my tummy and less euros
in my wallet. We later are some pita sandwiches and had some Austrian
beer, which tasted very good!

StrayDogNotVienna.JPG

Then I saw this lost scrubby doggy above. I thought he was a stray and
followed him around for good half an hour, watching him go in and out
of stores and urinating on sides of the cafés. Later it turned out that
he actually belonged to someone. That is after his owner started giving
me dirty looks for taking pictures of his dog ;) So we left and instead
I located a genuine stray Austrian bum who was sleeping on the bench, with
his hand stuck deep in his pants. I posed behind him and my girlfriend took
a photo. I was so damn thrilled that I giggled in his ear!

VitalBumVienna.JPG

As I mentioned before about Berlin, anyone jaywalking is a possible
suicide candidate. In Vienna stakes are much higher. Here trams often
tried to run me over :( Beware of the killer trams!

VitalTramSign.JPG

I assume some people got killed by these things as they are very close
to the sidewalk, so they had to put up this sign. That is a good plan I
guess. All the sophistication and class of this city does not go well
with random body parts on the streets. By now we did like good six
hours of walking and were ready for a break, so we made it back to
start point, but museums were about to close. So much for culture … ;)
But I did get to take this picture of Museum Of Natural history from
the outside. It is a truly spectacular sight!

MuseumNatHistVienna.JPG

Tomorrow we will give it a second try to actually make it inside some
of these things. Right now I have planted myself inside a café close to
Marriott hotel (free wireless internet anyone)? Going to sample much
Austrian beer while running deliveries on UO goodies orders from you
kind supporting folks! Working intoxicated… go Vita ;)

Vienna Is Sweet
Written by Vita Drakonia

First thing in the morning we headed straight for Stephanplatzt, one of
the more beautiful parts of the city. It is a very busy city square
with a lot of people, cafes and shops everywhere. In the center of it
all stands St. Stephens cathedral, which is one of the oldest and most
impressive buildings in Vienna that was built in 1147!

StStepehensVienna.JPG

Around the corner real horsie carriages were traveling up and down the
street. I stopped to take a picture and while doing so felt something
weird right behind me breathing heavily. Seems I was in the way of
another horsie carriage going forward behind me so I jumped swiftly out
of the way! Notice the concerned look on the face of the man in bottom
right corner of this photo...

HorsiesStreetVienna.jpg

Vienna is ice cream haven! In last 2 days I was here I have tried 5 or
so flavors and still have 50 more to go. Not only is there a huge
variety of a flavor, but quality of it stands no match for any other
ice cream I have ever eaten in my entire life. This picture may give an
idea of how difficult it is to choose just one ;)

IceCreamVienna.JPG

I interrogated a local guy at the bar over a beer as to where be fun
places to go and he suggested Vienna’s largest Prater amusement park.
Few subway stops later we landed right outside of it. Hundreds of
rides, prize games, food stands, bars, cafes and miniature slot machine
casinos everywhere! I got really excited and started humping this old pink hatted lady from behind! Blue guy did not want any part of it...

VitalDoGrannyVienna.JPG

We spent the rest of the day here; I would say about six or so hours
and tried out a dozen rides and games. It was a really fun time, and
although the establishment was no Disney land by comparison, but it was
really fun nevertheless. I got to shoot a bow at some balloons trying
to win my woman some stuffed animals but skill level was too low so I kept
missing. This newbie archer ain't getting no lovins tonight :)

Vienna First Impressions
Written by Vita Drakonia
Wednesday, 09 August 2006 15:55
After uncomfortable sleep on overnight train and sharing the cabin with
two very excitable Italian students I am now finally here in Vienna. It
is much smaller city then Berlin. People seem warmer and more helpful.
So we quickly checked into a hotel and took the subway to the city
center where we accidentally bumped into a random Austrian palace. It
was a really nice view so I took this photo!

PalaceFrontFarVienna.jpg

Here at the palace gardens I spotted and proceeded to fondle one of the
naked Austrian part-female statues as my girlfriend took the photo of this despicable act…

VitalStatueBoobVienna.JPG

We walked around randomly some more and stared at stuff. Ate some
strange looking sandwiches and ice cream, and then took a tram few
stops until we saw a really cool looking fountain. We hopped off and I
took a picture and even managed to capture a cool looking rainbow ;)

RainbowFountainVienna.jpg

Upon closer inspection I realized that fountain was just a small part
of a very large monument. Huge memorial dedicated to Russian red army
soldiers, who lost their lives during their liberation of Austria from
the German occupation in 1945 at end of WWII was constructed in city
center and can be seen in its entirety below!

RussianHeroesFartherVienna.JPG

I was getting kind of pooped out but we did a little more walking
before we got on the train to head back to the hotel, so I took one
last picture of some neat looking old Vienna buildings. I truly find it
fascinating how much of old architecture has been preserved in this
city and look forward to a fresh day of exploring much more of it
tomorrow!
